Vodka Bomb Recipe
A fizzy, flavorful shot made by dropping chilled vodka into energy drink or soda — a party-starting cocktail that’s easy to make and unforgettable to serve
Equipment
- Shot glass for vodka
- Rocks glass or short tumbler – for mixer
- Jigger (optional) for measuring shots
- Bar spoon (opt.) to stir add-ins before dropping
- Ice tray for chilling glasses or serving cold
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz vodka chilled, smooth (or flavored)
- 3–4 oz energy drink e.g. Red Bull, Monster, chilled
- ice optional – for chilling glass
- shot glass required – for vodka
- larger glass rocks glass or tumbler – for mixer
- 1.5 oz cherry vodka optional – for cherry bomb version
- ½ oz grenadine optional – adds cherry sweetness & color
- ½ oz blue curaçao optional – for blue lightning version
- lemon-lime soda optional – Sprite/7Up, variation mixer
- cranberry juice optional – adds tang, for berry or citrus versions
- maraschino cherry optional – garnish
- tsp maraschino syrup optional – adds depth or dessert feel
- sugar + zest optional – rim garnish
- dash chili syrup or hot honey optional – for Firebomb variant
- citrus wedge (lime/lemon) optional – garnish for zing
Instructions
- Chill everything: vodka, energy drink, shot glass, and serving glass — at least 2 hours before.
- Measure 1.5 oz vodka into a shot glass. Use flavored vodka (like cherry or citrus) if making a variation.
- Fill larger glass with 3–4 oz of cold energy drink (or soda, depending on variation).
- Optional: Add grenadine, cranberry juice, or blue curaçao into the mixer glass if making a flavored version.
- Hold shot glass above mixer glass, count to 3 — and drop the vodka shot into the larger glass.
- Chug immediately while fizzy — one quick sip to catch the dramatic moment.
- Optional: Garnish with maraschino cherry, sugar rim, or citrus wedge depending on your variation.
